The Ranger
This project started as a 1987 Ford Ranger. Everything on this truck
has been modified. It features a full 1 3/4" roll cage from the
front bumper to the rear. The power train has been replaced with a
4.3 Liter V6 Chevy mated to a Turbo 400 Transmission and a divorced
NP205 Transfer case. The rear end is a ford nine-inch with a spool
and 5.13 Gears. The front is a Dana 44 Twin-Traction Beam with 5.13
gears and a Detroit Locker. Front suspension cycles 18" of wheel
travel, and is controlled by a 2.0" Fox Coilover, a 2.5" Fox Bypass,
and Bilstein air bumps. The rear suspension features a set of
National Leaf Springs controlled by a Fox 2.5" Bypass and Bilstein
Air Bumps for 18" of wheel travel.
Scout Roll Cage
This project involved building a roll cage out of 1.75" tubing with a spare tire mount and bumpers. Click any of the pictures to see a larger version.
